On behalf to spongy's thread, I present the four dice game stages I was able to produce for a game I'm creating.
As suggested, I will be remaking these stages so their remakes would look better than these.
Note that I am aware of some obvious design mistakes, as I mostly used these stages for testing stuff.
First Stage - Methane Forest
Somewhat interesting story behind this one. I was trying to come up with where the story should begin (originally wanted to make a small visual novel), and I got reminded of a spell in Seiken Densetsu 3, a game for Super Famicom that was called "Methane Breath", which fossilized its victims. I am aware that Methane is more like a combustive gas, so I somewhat got the idea to combine three elements into this stage. There will be chances to find ruby fragments from the bushes with the "berries", except those are Fiery Garnets. Chances to find emerald fragments and amethyst fragments on some secret spots in this place.
Fire (Ruby), Wood (Emerald), and Earth (Amethyst) are definitely the ruling elements here. They also happen to be aligned as "The Three Elements of Land"
Back when I was designing this stage the first days, I strongly wanted to add a "Black Methane Sugar" item into it, which would be used to fossilize low-intelligence enemies that would eat them, and then using the Cyan Code (A quest item that the player would start with in the original version of the game) to "soften" the fossilisis and allow the user to pick up an item.
There was going to be a tutorial as well, but I'll be moving that to "Stage 0 - Watery Meadow", which I didn't make yet -- Good. At least I can make it better, now.
Second Stage - Celestial Cave
This place was suggested by my irl friend as a stage that sounds kind of ironic - Celestial Cave.
It's also the first stage that uses a looped path, which repeats any number of times until the player chooses to "Lobby" or reaches the true end.
I have to say this idea is kind of nice, and I also managed to find my monster artworks for this place:
There's a few of them but those humans are a cult I call "The Skymancers" ...not the most original thing, I know, but it seems to fit somewhat.
Third Stage - Deserted Battlefield
Fancy some easy to get weaponry? You'd be ale to steal weapons from corpses left behind after a war in this stage. However there's a catch - most of these weapons are cursed. Which means that these weapons would randomly cause you a rather annoying status effect. The solution? Why, combine the weapons with holy water, of course.
Somewhat a stage that is supposed to fulfill its purpose as a place where one can get advanced weaponry, while not looking for magic.
I am aware it doesn't look that well, and I'm intending to improve the remake.
Fourth Stage - Autumndrake Forest
Perhaps the most detailed of the stages so far. Autumndrake Forest is a very old place, where dragons used to live but not anymore. I believe a skeletal dragon would be the most you'd see here of a dragon.
This place was fun to design and offers some promising concepts looking forward to.

That'd be it. I realize my descriptions were somewhat poor and short (not as enthusiastic as spongy's imaginations for PG), but that's all this little deserted forum gets anyway -sigh-, keep calm and have a nice day!
