Since this is the 'General' section (despite it saying in small print, relating to the game...), might as well throw out something that people can always just randomly talk about, am I right?
So what kind of music do you guys like to listen to?
I really like international music. I listen to a lot of Thai, Japanese and Korean. One of my favorite Thai bands is Black Vanilla... they're hot x3 Japanese wise I like anything. (actually that's how I feel about music in general) Same with Korean.
American wise, I really like to listen to rock and alternative. But I really like the Riot Grrrl sound. But I love bands like Breaking Benjamin, Dollyrots, Paramore, Within Temptation, Linkin Park, Fort Minor, Bowling for Soup, New Found Glory, Joan Jett, HIM, Jack off Jill, Birthday Massacre, Flyleaf, Fireflight, Kelly Clarkson, Evanescence, Son of Dork, Mcfly, Busted (*SHOT*), The Used, Nickleback, Dandy Warhols... etc...
And David Bowie makes my knees weak X3
ALSO! I love tower 7's music best! X3 I like cute things..poo... sue me.

I like... Various stuff really. Nothing mainstream though, which has caused people to call my music weird, or worse. .-.
I used to be into rock and metal, and I still like some of the harder, louder beats (Korn, Perfect Circle). But I've moved to trip-hop recently, after finding out about Dr. No and Massive Attack, they are awesome. And Dr. No is Polish~ My country can make decent music that isn't hip-hop or pop, what a shock.
I adore international stuff too! I'm more picky though and the music has got to have something more to it than being in japanese to make me like it. But, throw in some electric guitars and I'm sold. Ellegarden? Mami Kawada? Yesplz.
I've been getting into electric music too, like Hybrid and Prodigy.
And of course some Yoko Kanno works. It was her who made me love instrumental music, along with a few others. Ragnarok Online 2 and GitS soundtracks are the true work of art.
There's probably something I'm forgetting, my music folder is huuuuge.

I listen to music that fits my mood. Sometimes I listen to like really freaky techno or really strange punk from another country. There was this russian-gypsy punk maybe metal band... I forgot the name. REALLY GOOD! But they were pretty random.
hmm I want to check out the bands you listed. *haha* Although I do struggle with instrumentals, unless I REALLY LIKE IT. I just get bored sometimes with them. But there are a few from Yoko that I will listen to a lot.

Hm, to tell you the truth, I really..don't listen to music (yeah yeah I know I'm a wierd person *coughs* and proud of it..*coughs* haha). Anyways when I do manage to it's mostly anything goes, no matter which language it's in, just as long as it's not the country..eh genre.

You do know that country is a base for a lot of music XD I think it's funny how people are like "I HATE COUNTRY" but then they listen to rock or pop and it's like.. but that stemmed from country. I know the count and the sound is different. You lose the twang of the guitar and the lyrics are a bit different, but I really just kinda giggle at those sort of statements.
I like all music, I try to like it at least. There are times where I hate a certain band but never a specific genre.

That is true..hm..I don't actually hate it or have nothing against the genre...but..for some reason I just tend to avoid country music most of the time..not sure why..I just do. Hm....

*nods* That's understandable.
There are lots of people who dislike Country and Rap. And I can see how rap can be rather... blah, but there is some rap that is actually pretty amazing with a sincerly deep message with great beats. XD
I love music.

Music is my anti-drug!
And I'm trying not to discriminate any genre, I never know, I might start liking it in a certain period of time. My tastes for music change with time (and probably not only mine).
Like, I used to listen to Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears when I was little. >_> Now I wouldn't touch them with a stick.
And I completely forgot to mention industrial metal, and I can't be annoyed to edit my first post. Mmm, Celldweller.

XD I still listen to those, on occasion. But I get those weird music cravings.
I'm the type of person who leaves a song on repeat when I feel like it.

There was this russian-gypsy punk maybe metal band... I forgot the name. REALLY GOOD! But they were pretty random. Russian gypsy punk band? The only band I can think of like that would have to be Gogol Bordello. Pretty good stuff, yeah.. The video I saw for 'Start Wearing Purple' was rather, ah, special, too. As for music I like... well, I try to dabble in a little bit of everything, but I tend to go through moods and phases. I guess that's true for most everyone, though. Right now, my favorite bands would probably be... let's see... The Flaming Lips, COALTAR OF THE DEEPERS, the pillows, ACIDMAN, Shugo Tokumaru, Luminous Orange, The Killers... there are a bunch of others I like, too, I just, like, scanned my playlist and named some of the ones I listen to a lot. hahaha. It gravitates a lot towards Japanese rock, with some shoegaze, a touch of folky sort of stuff, and then... a couple lonely American bands in there. I used to be really big on video game/anime/other instrumental type music, too. Some of my favorite composers there would be Falcom's team of composers -- their work on the Ys series is really good. I'm also a pretty big fan of Yoko Shimomura, especially her work on the Legend of Mana soundtrack. And Masamichi Amano's score for the 90s anime OVA Giant Robo: The Day the Earth Stood Still (no relation to the movies) deserves a big mention here, too. ...That's a lot of words about music, and maybe I'll cut myself off there.

The music I listen to is so random, I usually listen to anything as long as it sounds nice. ( to me anyway ) Though I'm not too keen on American pop and rap music lol. It's tolerable in any other language, since I usually can't understand it, but the melody is catchy.

Tough and easy topic rolled in one. Anything that sounds good in my ears, I like. Which translates to a variety of types of music. I suppose I'll tip my non existent hat to oldies, ^_^. But for me, it all depends on the song, not the genre or the artist, etc.
